A little sweetness, thoughtfully made in Dubai · Concept project

WEB DEVELOPMENT PORTFOLIO · CONCEPT PROJECT

From a social scroll
to a sweet enquiry.

Sift & Saffron is a self-initiated fictional bakery website. No real client, commercial results or customer metrics are claimed.

THE PROBLEM

Great bakes. Scattered details.

Instagram-only businesses often lack a central place for menus, prices, FAQs and ordering. Visitors must piece together posts and highlights before sending an enquiry.

THE SOLUTION

A clearer path to ordering.

A mobile-first website brings product information together and leads visitors toward WhatsApp, with a separate guided flow for custom cakes.

01 · Photography-led home page with a clear ordering action.

Designed around real decisions.

Know the price

AED starting prices, serving sizes and lead times appear together on product pages.

Ask with confidence

Allergens and delivery information reduce ambiguity before an enquiry.

Share the right details

The validated custom form produces a readable message while keeping the demo private.

Built to be understandable.

Semantic static HTML is generated from shared templates and product data. Responsive WebP images, minimal JavaScript, native disclosure controls and a reusable modal keep the site lightweight. Logical CSS properties and a document-level language and direction establish a starting point for future Arabic support.

The finished interface

01 · Homepage: the menu and enquiry preview are easy to find.

02 · Menu: serving sizes and starting prices support the next decision.

03 · Custom enquiry: a local preview, with no message sent.

Honest outcomes

The deliverable is a working concept, not evidence of increased sales. Conversion rate and enquiry quality would be assessed only after connecting a real business and collecting consented analytics.
